ThermaRay Radiant Ceiling Remodel or Retrofit
Due to the fact that most of us were raised in a forced air or convection environment, the Radiant Ceiling Heating truly is my favorite way to heat because it blows people’s minds.
What? Why would you put heat in the ceiling if Hot air Rises!
Most people say “Why would you put heat in the ceiling if hot air rises.” It’s true that hot air rises, but radiant heat like the sun travels in straight lines until it reaches something that could absorb that heat like the floor, walls, furniture, etc. and most importantly people.
A couple examples are like Stepping from the shade to the sun on a cool day. Or, like taking a rock and putting it in direct sunlight. The rock will absorb the radiant rays and in turn warm the air and other objects or people. The radiant ceiling heaters will also warm the floor and create a thermal mass. The floor and all the other objects in the room absorb those radiant rays in turn share them with the space.
The Radiant Ceiling System can be installed above virtually any surface. Sheetrock, OSB, Steel, Wood, etc.

Radiant Ceiling Remodel
Listen to this young couple explain the process and benefits of installing a ThermaRay Radiant Ceiling Heating System in their existing turn of the century home. The home was built in 1904-1906 and had an existing radiant ceiling heating system from the 60’s that was still working, but due to the remodel had to be removed. The ThermaRay Radiant Heating panels were the perfect remodel retro fit option to give the home the efficiency, comfort and healthy environment. The same environment had grown accustomed to and Love!

A ThermaRay Radiant Ceiling Remodel can also be a Retrofit to an Existing ceiling
Even existing ceilings can be retrofitted with a ThermaRay Radiant Ceiling Heating System. The process is fairly simple. Affix 2″ x 2″ furring strips or 2 x 4’s to the existing ceiling 18 inches on center across the entire ceiling. Place the ceiling heating panels as shown on the layout drawing by Premier Energy. Wire the heating panels to either the thermostat or to a relay junction box. place new sheetrock and enjoy the comfort and healthy efficient warmth of a radiantly heated space.

Premier Energy USA & ThermaRay
A little background. Premier Energy USA has been selling and installing ThermaRay products for over 25 years. ThermaRay has been manufacturing heating systems for over 40 years. ThermaRay | Electric Radiant Heating Systems with a stellar track record. In most cases a radiant retro-fit or remodel, the end user or local electricians install the heating systems but sometimes we do help coordinate that as well.
ThermaRay products also qualify for 13+ LEED points and all our heating systems can be used in conjunction solar and wind power generation. We also have the latest technology available for controls. Including – Invisible Controls! Yes – Invisible Heating Systems and now Invisible Controls. All our systems can also be controlled remotely with your phone, tablet or computer or from a central area of the building or home. LEED rating system | U.S. Green Building Council (usgbc.org)
Thermal Mass even with electric radiant ceiling heat is the key to the comfort and efficiency of a ThermaRay Radiant Heating System. Radiant Energy/Heat is absorbed by every part of the room. The walls, floors, ceiling, furniture, equipment and everything in the room is warmed and becomes part of the Therma Mass in the room and in turn helps keep the room and people in the room comfortable. No dust or other airborne contaminants are being blown around the space and drying out the air. Healthy, Comfortable and Efficient.
