How a Floor Warming Cable System Works
Floor cable spools come in a variety of lengths and wattages to fit the square footage you want to warm. Spools can be combined for larger spaces. The cable is evenly spaced on the floor with the leads returned to the thermostat or a junction box. Spacing strips are available, however, installing an uncoupling membrane is recommended. Floor sensors are placed between the cables and either a self-leveling concrete or thin set is placed over the cable. Great for kitchens, bathrooms, entranceways, foyers or your entire space.
