Assisted Living and Radiant Heating Systems | Features and Benefits

  • Affordable operating costs and installation – typically 50-75% less than hydronic (tubing), traditional forced air, convection systems.
  • Electric radiant technology is motionless and quiet providing superior comfort without producing airborne contaminants or dust.
  • Each room’s temperature can be individually controlled for the utmost in comfort.
  • The Radiant Heating Systems are silent and invisible which allows for greater design freedom.
  • ThermaRay’s Radiant Systems qualify for off-peak rates from power companies and rebates for system purchases in most areas.

How Thermal Mass Floor Heating Works

ThermaRay’s Thermal Mass Floor Heating Systems are installed 8″ below the concrete floor with only perimeter insulation. No horizontal insulation below the heating panels allows the heating panels to create a thermal mass that is about 24″-30″ deep. The bigger the mass, the lower the operating costs.

When the system is turned on the ground and the concrete slab become an efficient, thermal mass of energy.  The principal is along the same lines as the earth and its core.  Heat transfers from hot to cold so the energy is only released when the area above it becomes cooler than the thermal mass.

The heat remains where it is until it’s needed which results in a comfortable, even temperature from floor to ceiling with no wasted energy.  For residences with multiple floors the panels are then installed between the floor joists on each floor creating a silent, motionless warmth which can be individually controlled on each floor in each room.

How Radiant Ceiling Systems Work

ThermaRay’s Assisted Living Facility Electric Radiant Heating Systems Ceiling panels are placed between the ceiling trusses and secured with plastic strapping along the bottom of the trusses before the ceiling is finished which allows much more freedom when designing interiors.

Radiant rays, like light rays, travel in straight lines and move naturally from warmer objects to cooler ones warming objects and people.  Silent and motionless, the system creates an even temperature from ceiling to floor while maintaining 100% energy efficiency.

The assisted living facility electric radiant heating systems has no moving parts or blowing air which keeps germs, allergens and dust from circulating through your apartment.
