How It Works
As sure as the sun shines, radiant heat is something with which we are all familiar. Think of the way the world is warmed – a direct transference of heat from object to object, without fans, pumps or hoses – silent, motionless and invisible.
A ThermaRay environment works exactly the same way. Unlike conventional heating, our system automatically warms people and objects first, not the air, just as the sun does. Radiant rays, like light rays travel in straight lines and radiant rays travel naturally from warmer objects to cooler objects. The cooler surfaces act like magnets to the warmth. ThermaRay’s Tile Warming System generates this type of heat and comfort; warmth is gently radiated to the objects in the room like walls, floor, furniture and most importantly You!
Kitchens, bathrooms, entranceways and foyers are key areas in homes and office buildings where tile, marble, or natural stone floors are frequently used for their beautiful, low maintenance features. Beautiful, but Cold.

ThermaRay’s Tile Warming transforms those chilly floor surfaces into wonderful radiant warmth.
ThermaRay’s Tile Warming turns cold surfaces into a blanket of soothing warmth. You’ll find it in the plans of many new construction and renovation projects throughout the world – primarily because it has the lowest profile in the industry, it’s easy to install, comfortable, energy efficient and allergen safe.
Our tile warming cable installs above your sub floor in thinset or a self-leveling medium directly under tile, granite, laminate, engineered, or solid wood floors. Typically used for supplemental or comfort heat, our tile warming cable can in some cases also be used as a primary source of heat.
